OC BECOMES A WORLD RECORD-BREAKER... AGAIN

Tom Onslow-Cole and Hotels.com have broken the World Record for the fastest bed, after the professional racing driver travelled in a straight line at 135kms per hour, proving that the accommodation expert not only provides the fastest beds online but on-track, too.

At the Emirates Motorplex in the United Arab Emirates on the 13th December, Tom hopped aboard a Hotels.com bed with a modified Ford Mustang GT base and, in front of an adjudicator from the Guinness World Records, smashed the previous record by 24kms per hour.

“As an international racing driver, I travel the world and use Hotels.com wherever I stay, so I already knew they could deliver a fast bed via the app and online... Now I know they can deliver it on track, too!” the championship-winning GT driver commented. “I was made-up to take the ‘World’s Fastest Bed’ record with Hotels.com, it was an unforgettable experience and I hope it’ll stand the test of time – it’ll take some beating!”

This isn’t the first time Tom has held a World Record. In 2012, he and TV personality Edd China drove the world’s fastest milk float for his sponsor eBay Motors.

“Unfortunately, I lost the 'Fastest Milk Float' World Record a couple of years ago, so I’m delighted to be back in the record books again,” concluded Tom.

Tom will return to the UAE next month to contest Dubai 24 Hours in a Mercedes AMG GT3 with SPS Automotive Performance and the Dubai World of Adventures.
