British professional racing driver Tom Onslow-Cole continued his clean run of 2015 podiums with a second place finish in the third round of the 24H Series, the 12 Hours of Zandvoort, last weekend (29/30 May).

The RAM Racing #30 Mercedes SLS AMG GT3, which started from second on the grid, led the 12-hour race for most of the duration and, going into the final stint, OC and his team-mates Thomas Jäger (DE) and Paul White (GB) were well on their way to the top step of the podium.

However, in the final stop, a queue at the fuel pump cost the team in excess of two-minutes and, with it, the race win.

“Of course, we came here looking for a win, but it wasn’t to be,” commented the Milltek Sport-sponsored driver. “We definitely had the pace to win but we lost more than two minutes in the last pitstop and it cost us the lead. Still, we have extended our lead in the GT3 championship and that’s our main objective.”

OC’s RAM Racing team finished second in Dubai 24 Hours and second in the 12 Hours of Italy, giving them the 24H Series front-running A6 class-lead. In addition, the 28-year old had a class-win in Silverstone 24 Hours and won the World RX Rally Lites shootout.

“I’ve had a win or podium in everything I have entered so far this year, which is great. I have some really exciting events coming up in the next few months and i’m working hard to try keep up this run of success.”

OC will next race in the 24 Hours of Le Mans support race, the Aston Martin Festival of Le Mans in two weeks time. A full announcement will follow.
