Tom Onslow-Cole is a professional GT racing driver.

This year, he will contest the Blancpain Endurance Series with Bentley Team Parker Racing in the Continental GT3.

He will also return to the 24H Series to defend his GT3 championship title with RAM Racing in its new Mercedes AMG GT3.

Tom is a full member of the BRDC and a well-known name thanks to seven years competing in the British Touring Car Championship. In 2014, he moved to GT racing and has already had overall podiums at Dubai 24 Hours and Barcelona 24 Hours, while racking up a win at the 24 Hours of Paul Ricard.

Tom started out in racing aged eight when his dad Paul took him karting. After six years of national competition, the time came to take the step into tin top racing. At 14-years old, Tom moved into T-Cars and then, in 2003, he took the step into the highly-competitive Renault Clio Cup.

In 2006, aged 18, he re-wrote the record books, leaving his nearest rival 113 points behind on his way to the Clio Cup title. This led him naturally into the BTCC where he raced for VX Racing, AON, eBay Motors and, most recently, Airwaves Racing. Touring car highlights include multiple wins, podiums, pole positions and fastest laps.
"The move into GTs is something I've been working on for a while now, and it's all come together better than I could have ever expected. There are lots of challenges ahead but I'm ready to take them on."

MSA Coach Qualified

"As a coach I've built up a large coaching toolbox and when I work with drivers I aim to help them develop in their own right and take ownership over their progression. It's about using the right tools at the right time whether you're looking for rapid skill development or longer term mastery."

As a coach, Tom has worked world-wide with drivers, teams and organisations.

Currently, Tom has the highest level of coaching qualification available from the Motor Sports Association (MSA) in both the participation and performance sectors of the sport. As well as working towards a masters’ degree in Elite Coaching Practice, Tom also holds an ARDS A-Grade Instructors Licence, which enables him to work in-car during test days.

After gaining crucial experience working with drivers and teams, Tom was hand-picked by the MSA to take on a performance manger role within their Team UK and Academy structure.

Through training and development company Elite Sport Performance (ESP), Tom also delivers a coaching role in the FIA Institute's Young Driver Excellence Academy, which not only focuses on motorsport but also road safety.

While working for ESP, Tom has undertaken training to tackle the broader application of coaching with his most recent qualification coming from Insights, an organisation specialising in increasing performance through interpersonal relationships.
